BORGO SAN LORENZO (pieve di San Lorenzo) – The simple monument, as the inscription reads, marks the point of the burial of the director of the Pieve, Damiano Manti from Imola, priest and illustrious humanist who ruled the pieve for 40 years, from 1503 to 1543. He executed important restoration works which saved the church from destruction and cooperated to the foundation of the nearby Dominican monastery of Santa Catherine (1516).
